Beyonce's self-titled album remained on top of the Billboard 200 for a third straight week after selling 310,000 copies for the week of Dec. 23. Three weeks is also the longest any album has held the No. 1 spot since April 2013 when Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience was topping charts, reports Billboard.
Though sales dropped a modest 17 percent, the singer has now sold 1.3 million copies of her album.
After two weeks of 617,000 and 374,000 copies being sold, Beyonce's new album is the first since 2009 to have more than 300,000 copies sold in each of its first three weeks. The last artist to do that was Susan Boyle with I Dreamed a Dream, though her album sold 500,000 copies each week for five weeks then.
