A 13-year-old boy, who had allegedly abducted and raped a 9-year-old girl recently in Begur, was arrested by the City police on Tuesday. Police Commissioner Raghavendra H Auradkar said the accused confessed to abducting the girl while she was returning home and raping her after taking her to an isolated spot. According to school certificate, the suspect’s date of birth is June 11, 2000. A school dropout, he had parted ways with his parents, the police said.
