Julie Gayet is suing Closer, the French magazine that reported she was having an affair with President Francois Hollande. Closer magazine disclosed today that the actress is seeking 50,000 euros ($68,000) in damages and 4,000 euros in legal costs for ...breach of privacy.
Earlier this week, Close magazine said it was on track to sell 600,000 copies of the Hollande affair edition- twice its usual circulation. The magazine said it will unveil new details and photographs in its next edition, which is set to hit the stands on tomorrow.
If Gayet wins, Closer magazine will have to publish the legal verdict on its cover page.
