New York: Woman follwed by a stranger into her apartment and was raped

Police in Lower Manhattan are investigating a sex assault that took place in the East Village early Monday. The incident happened near East 7th Street just after 4 a.m. Police say a 22-year-old woman was followed into her apartment and raped by an unknown male believed to be in his 30s. The woman was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment
