Yaya Toure named African Footballer of the Year for third straight time


Manchester City player and Ivory Coast international, Yaya Toure, has won a third straight African Footballer of the year award. Toure beat Mikel Obi and Didier Drogba to clinch the award.
"I thank my family for their support and also congratulate John Obi Mikel, who also deserved this award," Toure said. Nigeria's John Mikel Obi was second and Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast finished third.
